Could We Be Getting An Affordable Way To Experience LEGO SMART Play?

The LEGO SMART Play sets and the Brick itself haven’t had the best of starts, with many of the sets still sitting on shelves. But this could all change if the latest rumour is true, we could be getting an affordable way to grab the SMART Brick!

Thanks to Buggyleaks on Instagram, a set name and number has been revealed and rumoured to release April 2027. LEGO SMART Play All-in-one Activator (72118) is different from every other All-in-one option that has released, the main difference is the piece count. Coming in at just 81, it is significantly smaller than previous SMART Play sets, hopefully making it cheaper too. Offering just the SMART Brick, it’s charger, and perhaps a small build or handful of parts and activator tiles. 

The current lineup of SMART Play All-in-one sets comprises of just five offerings spanning LEGO Star Wars and Pokémon. The cheapest of which is LEGO Pokémon Training House with Pikachu (72164), with a total of 400 pieces for a hefty price tag of £59.99/$69.99/€69.99. Unfortunately there is no rumoured price for LEGO SMART Play All-in-one Activator (72118) set or how it will be presented, could it be a small set or perhaps crammed into a polybag? With the SMART Play theme expanding next year with more Star Wars offerings and the addition of Ninjago and Disney, it would be the perfect time to release a SMART Brick only set.
