Aw Geez – Custom LEGO Rick & Morty Minifigures From FireStar Toys Are Here!

When it comes to Minifigures, that includes custom printed ones, we like to think we know what makes a good one. With many characters in our collection from LEGO and other outlets, we just can’t get enough of them. FireStar Toys is a brand that takes their designs to the next level, their most recent release is Rick & Morty, complete with portal gun!

The hit adult cartoon has a massive following, myself and my Son absolutely love it and have just finished season 9. From the epic space adventures they have together, to the awesomely nerdy parts, it’s a fun and sometimes rude show. So when FireStar Toys unveiled their custom creations, we jumped at the chance to add these to our collection and placed our order there and then.

From placing my order to receiving it was just over a week, which is better than our last order (Ser Duncan the Tall), which took almost 3 weeks. This could have been due to lesser demand or perhaps they were ready to ship, who knows. Inside the box was all that mattered, they come neatly packaged inside a sturdy box. The unique plactic case all their Minifigures come in is present here, this time the compartment is double the size to fit both Minifigures. It’s a shame that the cardboard backdrop was of a generic design and not themed to characters.

Opening the 0lastic case and finally holding the Minifigures in my hand, I can appreciate the slightly higher price point of FireStar Toys. The first thing that grabs you is the crystal-clear detail, the lines and faces of both characters match their animated on-screen counterparts perfectly. I particularly like the dual faces, one cartoony and the other more LEGO-suited, having the choice between the two included by default is a nice touch by FireStar Toys.

Coming in at £29.95 for the pair is a rather acceptable price, especially when comparing with other double Minifigure packs they offer. The time, effort and skill that went into creating these well crafted Minifigures, you soon realise the price is more than worth it.

With the included accessories, Rick‘s portal gun and Morty‘s ray gun, each character is complete and really does look the part – ready for another classic adventure. These accessories are 3D printed and look great, especially the portal gun. I’m so happy to finally have them both in Minifigure form and in my collection, the amount of photography shoots these will go on will be many, they will eventually end up in my LEGO City (Gregsville) through random portals.
