380,000 LEGO Flowers Transform Shanghai’s Concrete Oil Tank Into Botanical Landscape!
LEGO Botanicals, 380,000 to be precise, have spilled across the West Bund waterfront in Shanghai to bring together a 30-foot-long brick flower sculpture!
The TANK Shanghai building is temporarily home to a staggering amount of brick-built blooms, which form part of a month-long exhibition. The centrepiece of the LEGO Bloom Exhibition is a huge LEGO wave spans 30 meters across Shanghai’s West Bund waterfront. The LEGO Botanical Wave appears to be coming out from the TANK, which believe it or not, was a former oil tank. Covering approximately 800 square meters, the monumental display brings together roses, sunflowers, tulips, and other brick-built plants in a spectacle that gives the familiar plastic pieces an entirely different sense of scale. The vast industrial history of the area provide stark contrast as a backdrop to the brightly coloured LEGO pieces.
The LEGO Bloom Exhibition is free to visit and runs until October 29th, 2026. For a better look and more I for please head over to design boom. Check out the images below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
