LEGO PlayStation Set Rumoured for Late 2026!

LEGO and retro gaming fans can expect to see a brick-built Playstation 1 console release this year!

Thanks to Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat, we have a rumour of a new LEGO console coming this year. Many designs have come and gone over the years on the LEGO Ideas platform of the classic Playstation games machine, but sadly none have ever been chosen. Although this isn’t an Ideas themed set, the prospect of having such an iconic console made from LEGO really does excite me. It was my first proper gaming device, after the 80s Nintendo NES of course, and started me off on my lifelong passion for gaming.

Rumoured details include the set number 72306, an estimated cost of $159.99/€159.99, and a piece count of 1,911. It is expected to drop December 2026, just in time for Christmas, the perfect gift for the adult gamer.

It follows in the LEGO footsteps of the Nintendo NES, Atari 2600, SEGA Megadrive controller, PACMAN arcade machine, and the Nintendo Game Boy sets. To get an idea if what a potential LEGO PlayStation Set could look like, Monibricks on LEGO Ideas is currently looking for support, although Un won’t be chosen as LEGO have gone their own way.
