Building the Duffer Brothers from Custom LEGO Parts – Minifigs.me!

The Stranger Things hype maybe a distant memory, but here at The Brick Post were trying to keep the moment going. After recently finishing the LEGO Creel House (11370) and it’s tie-in gift with purchase, we remembered the promotional video (here) LEGO and Netflix shared, where the Duffer Brothers were shrunk down and turned into Minifigures.

We rummaged through our LEGO parts trying to find the pieces used, but we’re stumped when we got to the heads, there isn’t one currently in the vast LEGO catalogue. Searching BrickLink for ‘black beard‘ brought up many search pages, but sadly none were spot on to what was depicted in the video. At my wits end, I remembered Minifigs.me and their impressive range of custom designed heads, accessories and more – quickly hopping over to their website I frantically looked for suitable heads, I found a happy expression complete with a thick black beard, PERFECT!

Using their very user friendly Create-a-fig service, I got to work matching the hair pieces, heads, torsos, and legs. Only having a handful of screenshots from the video to go by, I think I did a pretty good job. Matt Duffer was dressed in the grey open shirt and had longer hair, whilst Ross Duffer was sporting a dark tan jacket with a shorter hair style.

Like I mentioned before, these could be made entirely from official LEGO parts, bar the heads. Using torsos from the Hocus Pocus and JAWS sets, although I do have these sets, sourcing spares is somewhat troublesome and pricey – so custom prints on genuine LEGO parts will do just as well.

Using the parts seen in the photos below, you too can have the Duffer Brothers in (custom) Minifigure form. Or course parts, styles and more can be swapped out if you wish, creating not only the Duffer Brothers but yourself, loved ones, and friends.
